Situation report on tropical storm Nina with international name Nock-ten as of 9 January 2017 that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 3:00 am of 26 November 2016.
The following information was acquired from government sources like Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and other related government agencies.

- Severe Tropical Storm (STS) with international name Nock-ten entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) was named “Nina”.

Effects of typhoon Nina:
A total of 98,771 families or 487,825 individuals were pre-emptively evacuated in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V and VII.
A total of 516,461 families or 2,295,021 individuals were affected in 1,986 barangays in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V and VII. A total of 1,158 families or 6,227 invidividuals are still inside 64 evacuation centers in Provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
A total of thirteen (13) dead persons and 21 missing were reported in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V and VII.
A total of 313,767 houses were damaged in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Region V. There were 228,538 partially damaged and 85,229 totally damaged.

A total of twelve (12) provinces in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Region V experiencing intermittent communications (2G, 3G, LTE).
A total of PhP 6,115,355,766.75 worth of damages to agriculture, infrastructure in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V and VII. Agricultural damages amounts to PhP 5,062,121,871.75 and PhP 1,053,233,895.00 on infrastructure.
Disaster Response
A total of PhP 355,261,993.75 worth of assistance from DSWD, LGUs, DOH, NGOs, and OCD were extended to affected provinces in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Regions V and VII.
A total of PhP 7,112,134.00 worth of relief assistance has been provided to the affected families. DSWD provided PhP 6,249,254.00 while LGUs provided PhP 862,880.00.
