Secretary Yasay Visits Malaysia

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Perfect R. Yasay Jr. will be visiting Malaysia on 12 August 2016 to meet with Malaysia Foreign Minister Dato’ Sri Anifah Haji Aman as part of introductory visits to ASEAN member countries. The two officials are expected to discuss bilateral relations and to renew close ties between the Philippines and Malaysia.

Secretary Yasay will also meet with the Filipino Community in Malaysia in a gathering organized by the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

Secretary Yasay will also participate in the ceremonial launch of the first and formal discussions between the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Members of the Philippine government panel led by Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus G. Dureza and MILF representatives will meet on August 13 to 14 on the implementation of the peace agreements. ●
